WHAT EYELINER IS

Definition set into your own lash line, at the weight you choose.

The pigment sits in and just above the lash line, which is why it reads as a denser lash rather than as a line drawn on the lid. How thick, how far along the eye, and whether it lifts into a wing are decided with a pencil on your own face and handed to you in a mirror before anything is tattooed.

What changes is the morning. No pencil, no second eye to match to the first, and nothing to redo after the gym or at the end of a long day. It is the same line on the morning you have ten minutes as on the morning you have two.

This is semi-permanent makeup. It is made to fade, slowly, over years rather than to sit unchanged for life, and that is the reason a touch up exists at all.

Every eyeliner style is customized based on the client's eye shape, lash line, daily makeup preferences, and desired level of definition. A personalized consultation is included.

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS

The appointment, in the order it happens.

Nothing on the day is a surprise. This is the sequence the appointment runs, from the paperwork at the door to the balance settled on the way out, and the point at which you can still change your mind is written into it.

1. CHECK IN The waiver, the service agreement and the marketing agreement are signed before the consultation begins. Nothing is drawn and no numbing cream goes on until they are.
2. BEFORE PHOTO The before photograph is taken first, before any numbing cream and before anything is drawn on. It is the natural lash line, unmarked.
3. THE STYLE You choose the style from the three published above, and the weight, the length and whether the line lifts into a wing are settled with it.
4. THE MAPPING Laney draws the proposed line on with a pencil, on your own face, and adjusts it against your own eye shape rather than against a template.
5. THE MIRROR The drawn line is handed to you in a mirror. If it is not right it is wiped off and drawn again, and that repeats until you agree to it.
6. YOUR CALL You may still walk out at this point and nothing is tattooed. The deposit is not returned, and that is the only cost of stopping.
7. NUMBING Numbing cream over the area for 10 to 15 minutes.
8. THE WORK One hour to one and a half hours, depending on the style and the level of detail you have asked for.
9. THE MIRROR AGAIN The mirror comes out a second time at the end, so the finished line is confirmed with you before you leave the chair.
10. PAYMENT The remaining balance is paid on site, immediately after the work is finished. The agreed price is the whole price.

The aftercare is explained in the room before you go and sent to you afterwards as a PDF. The short version: for the first 48 hours no sauna and no high intensity exercise, the supplied cream through that window because the needle opens the skin, and do not pick at the area while it settles. The colour settles to its true tone by about week six.

WHAT THE CHANGE LOOKS LIKE

A denser lash line, not a line drawn on the lid.

The pigment goes in and just above the lash line, which is why the change reads as a denser eye rather than as a line sitting on the lid. The first pair sets weight along the whole line. The second carries it heavier toward the outer corner, which is the same decision made a different way.

Every frame in this band is a client of the studio. No frame here is labelled with a week or a healing stage, because the studio has not recorded one for these photographs and a number nobody measured is not a fact. Each pair is one client photographed on two days, so the angle shifts a little between the two frames. The crop does not: both frames in a pair are the whole photograph at its own shape, with nothing pulled in on either. Worth knowing when reading any after frame: eyeliner sits at its darkest in the first days and lightens as it settles into the lash line.

SEMI-PERMANENT

Three months to the touch up. Two to three years after it.

Eyeliner here is semi-permanent. It is made to fade rather than to sit unchanged for life, which is why the sequence below exists and why the line is settled in a mirror before any pigment goes in.

2. 02 A $100 deposit is required to confirm the appointment and counts toward the balance. It is non-refundable. $200 for Signature Hyperrealism only.
3. 03 Cancelling within 24 hours, or arriving 20 minutes late, releases the appointment and the deposit.
4. 04 The balance is due at your appointment. The agreed price is the whole price.
